This season marks the return of Level Up, Westin Bayshore Hotel’s festive pop-up games room. It was so popular for its inaugural year in 2024 that they have brought it back for 2025. And we were invite for the exclusive sneak peek and holiday celebration 2 hours before it opened for the rest of the hotel.
Exclusive for this event and this day is the reception that included a self help candy bar, with chip counter and grab and go bags of popcorn.
There was also a buffet of small bites, well stocked under heat lamps. Chicken tender and fries, sliders, and quesadillas accompanied by giant bowl of sauces and dips that you could load up on.
At the bar there were bottles and cans, but the feature was the cocktail that gave you the ability to choose what you wanted print on top of its foam layer, as a decorative element. You could choose from branded logos, festive visuals, or even upload your own photo from your phone.
The entirety of this space was anchored by a giant video screen that gave off Christmas cheer with a giant cat jumping into a snowy box, a dancing gingerbread man, and Christmas tree being lit.
The live DJ kept the tempo and neon lamps at each table connected with the neon theme inside the actual Bayshore’s Grand Ballroom, transformed into a holiday playground.
As taken from their press release, “During the holiday season, this newly enhanced space transforms into a neon lit pop up games room spanning more than 15,500 sq. ft., offered complimentary for hotel guests.” This runs from from December to early January, with VIP access packages available as well.

“As part of the hotel’s recent renovation, the Bayshore Grand Ballroom now features the Infinity Wall, the largest LED screen in a hotel ballroom in North America.“
