The Lincoln Navigator is one of my favourite cars that I’ve driven over the years, and the Black Label just elevates its already luxurious impression and drive.
On top of its sleek look, it offers additional features that you didn’t know you needed, but when you realize that you have right before you, you want to take full advantage of.
Like the massaging chair feature with pulsing options that either relax, rejuvenate, or energize. Or the digital sent which incorporates air freshening into your air conditioning. You can choose your scent from 3 different options. All of which feels distinctively Lincoln, but unique onto its own layered scent. Mystic Forest, Ozonic Azure, and Violet Cashmere. It comes out the vents in a continuous stream and certainly replaces air fresheners that you hang on your rear view mirrors.
The vehicle is huge, it made parking in downtown Vancouver’s narrow underground stalls a challenge. And it needed a built in step/ledge that retracted out of the side of the vehicle, plus a lowered handlebar to grip on to, to help you pull yourself up and in to the cockpit.
Once inside things get a lot more comfy. The headrest is a little hard, but does match the firmness of the massage function.
For interior visuals, I like the speckles on the dark wood finish and the crystal cut volume dial. Once again, neither are necessary, but add a little extra sparkle to entice the eyes.
The most notable and iconic feature of the Navigator is the doubled down screens. The first an end to end continuous screen that is essentially four in one. You can customize it to show any of the Home Screen buttons, duplicating the touchscreen digital display screen at your fingertips. This set makes you feel like you are behind the console of a command centre.
And one of my favourite features was the Blue Cruise. I am always weary when we have self driving technology, not trusting the reliability. However the 2026 Navigator drove me safely from Abbotsford to Burnaby, travelling by highway. I didn’t have to put my foot on the pedal or my hands on the wheel. It was a smooth ride and I eventually grew to trusted the process.
