Over the holidays I made it my goal to stay home and hibernate. To allow myself the time and opportunity to rest, where I might not get to the rest of the year. However, with the Genesis G70 2.5T Prestige on loan, it felt like a waste to not take her out for a little fun.

This is my last whip-of-the-week for the year, and one of my favourites of this year. It had all the modern conveniences I want from a daily driver, all wrapped up in quiet luxury. There is nothing flashy to hold your gaze, but as a whole there is a lot to appreciate in the 2025 Genesis G70 2.5T Prestige.

A top of the line model that looks the part with its creamy butterscotch leather interior and matching double stitching. Everyone who saw it complimented it, and those who were able to climb in for a ride felt the “prestige” first hand.

All the features felt bespoke with classic instrument panels on the dash and push and pull gear shifter. An uncommon sight now in the age of digital and press buttons. Everything else was minimized for the sake of a clean approach. Like a smaller infotainment screen, where other brands are going bigger and are equipping their vehicles with multiple screens.

This compact sedan was perfect for one. There was barely enough leg room for those in the back seat, with them pushed back for the driver and front passenger’s comfort. This was even the case with my shorter legs.

As for the way it handles it was the dream. Effortless and easy steering with no resistance, coupled with great agile mobility. It is a stunning sedan, and one I would like for my day today life, straddling both convenience and optimal ability.
