BC Hospitality Foundation x La Cerveceria

Today we were gathered at La Cerveceria in North Vancouver, to celebrate their new partnership in support of BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF).

Specifically Le Cafe Brocante, their second floor, French themed wine bar. Here, they have their house brews on tap, plus a curated wine selection available by the glass or bottle. We would enjoy a little of both as we mixed, mingled, and learned more about both the property and the collaboration.

BCHF supports individuals across diverse roles in BC’s hospitality and tourism sectors, providing vital assistance for essentials like rent, food, and medicine.” As taken from their website.

The foundation is constantly searching for unique ways to rally support of this cause through raffles, events, and now this fundraising effort.

For every La Cerveceria four pack of Salted Lime Lager sold, $1 goes towards BCHF’s efforts. The campaign will run to the end of August with the hopes of raising $2500.

The beer its one of the brewery’s most popular sellers. With salty and citrusy notes this was like a classic tart and tangy margarita, but in a crisp and fizzy beer format. Ideal for summer weather and easy drinking on a patio, at the beach, or when camping.

The organic wine we had was a Brocante limited release with only 5 bottles left in stock before we got to one. It was orange in colour, funky like kombucha; with notes of apricot, acetone, and sherry. This would be lovely paired with food, a smokey sablefish, umami mushroom, or the bitter of a green vegetable. It was not intended to be aged, but is aging well.

So next time if you are at your local liquor store and looking to pick up a pack, direct your attention to the La Cerveceria Salted Lime Lager 4-pack for a good beer and a good cause.
