2026 Kia Seltos X-Line

This week I had the 2026 Kia Seltos X-Line, and coming from the Ioniq 5 last week I found it fairly basic by comparison. However, the Seltos X-Line is actually their rugged, top-tier trim. It features a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 190 to 195 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive for a very versatile and mouldable ride.

I guess I was just missing simple conveniences like the mirror automatically tilting down so that I could see the ground when I reverse stall park. The ability to change the colour of the ambiance lighting. The blue used was static. There was no Eco mode to help conserve gas, only sport or normal. And there was the need to pull and push a gearshift.

I did appreciate the three C -cable ports and the wireless mat charger. This is great if you have more than one device or a passenger, you wanna help charge.

And most memorable was the really comfortable headrest. It was spongy and soft, and something I could use as a pillow to sleep on.

To emphasize its sporty approach the Seltos is designed with rugged accents like its dark and gloss-black exterior styling elements, exclusive wheel designs, and black wheel arch cladding. It is built with an increase in ground clearance for an off-road-inspired stance. And is equipped with full LED adaptive headlamps, distinctive daytime running lights, and a rear light bar connecting the taillights.

The seating is premium with power adjustability and perforated leatherette. Both the front and rear have the option to heat their seats.

For tech the Seltos has a dual 12.3-inch integrated digital displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a surround-view camera system.

And for your convenience it included power liftgate, heated steering wheel, and panoramic sunroof options.
