2026 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek

This week’s down pour made the 2026 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek and ideal SUV to get around in. Designed for rugged outdoor life the Rogue is equipped with a variety of drive modes including sport, off-road, snow, and eco. You only need to turn the dial located on the centre console to activate. And in the case of the Eco mode, to remember to turn it again at the start of each drive. This had me saving money at the pumping. After a week’s worth of adventures I was still left with a little under half the tank.

The Rock Creek edition is a stylish grey-taupe in colour with contrasting neon orange accents in the logo and interior. A badge along the bottom edge of the door, on the floor mats, and stitched into the back of the front two seats.

The vehicle drives as solid and steadfast as it looks. The drive itself is sturdy, but the handling a little clunky; even in sport mode, but with a lot more power to propel.

The gearshift matched this energy and was a great visual representation of the Rogue as a whole. A short and stocky, square-shaped knob that was wide and flat enough to function as a miniature table. It did not offer a very comfortable grip, as I found myself having to palm it, only to realize there is also a thumb button to push down, before shifting.

The dash and infotainment system were on the discrete side. A simple and smaller screen that was slower to load, it took a good half a minute to sync up the device information each time. And a minor detail is that both screens have their own digital time, and they were 1.5 minutes apart.

The 2026 Rogue has one of the most defined lumbar I have ever felt against my lowe back. It was hard and protruded more that most. I wasn’t even close to maxing it out before it felt uncomfortable and over extended.

I also really liked the ability to walk away from the Rock Creek and have it lock automatically. A couple of steps in the opposite direction had it double beeping to reassure me that the vehicle had safely locked behind me.
