Season2Season, home decor

Pre-covid my profession was in retail management. Winter was our busiest season. Set up was late summer and promotions for Christmas seasonal decor and apparel started as early as November. The expectation is you shop earlier to have what you need for the months ahead before the season starts. Therefore, take it from me when I say the best time to shop of anything Christmas related: decor, gifts and all is now, 2 weeks before the holiday.

Take for example new seasonal decor store Season2Season in Surrey. They feature low to mid-range priced pieces to add a little lustre to your home. Whether it is a centre piece for your feast or something special to greet guests at the foyer. Indoor outdoor, large and small they have plenty of unique pieces for your home and business design.

And right now all their Christmas mementos and memorables are 50% off, reduced to clear. Because they don’t want to sit on anything and have to store the stock until next year, and who really needs a waving Santa in January anyways? And even if you don’t need it this year, you might want it next.

Not to mention for Season2Seaon, given the name, they need the space to overhaul the store for the next season. Which would be spring and its accompanying festivities. This I guess would include tulips, chickens, and bunnies.

Currently they are a winter wonderland. You enter and are set in awe. With two distinct spaces, one is set up for display with shoppable moments, the other has bins and baskets of baubles, and shelves of lights, boxed ornaments, and wreaths.

Shop by theme and get inspiration from their designers who have curated these shops with complimentary pieces in mind. Santa palooza is in red and white. It includes several almost life size, animatronic Santas waving and singing; Santa’s boots you can use as a vase; and even the Mrs. is available for sale.

My favourite is the yummy display of gingerbread house facades, mint candy trees, and elves baking up bunt cakes.

For those looking for a more modern take on Christmas make it gothic with black decorations or femme with soft pink shimmer elements. Use metallics like gold and silver for a splash of shine. Or choose from the rainbow of assorted flowers and trickets that they have available.

You can also shop by texture with wooden ornaments, ones handcrafted in metal, a few knit in yarn, and many more whimsical in felt. The tanned leather stocking with buckle caught my eye.

As taken from their spokes person “Our mother company started in Taiwan in 1968 with ribbons and novelty ornaments. In 1988, we have expanded into the Hong Kong and Chinese market, and has since become a specialist in quality Seasonal Novelties, Home Décor, Garden and Floral items. With the grand opening of Season2Season in November 2022, we started a new chapter of our novelty decorations. We wanted to showcase our design, concept as well as our affection towards the holidays. All the items were designed by designers from different parts of the world and manufactured with our very own and continuously updating factory and equipment. After Christmas we would be transitioning into a home decor and garden decor store, and do a whole store transformation for a few of the holidays (just like this Christmas). We are planning to open several locations across the greater Vancouver, and we picked Delta to start with as we wanted to elevate local business and attract more visitors into the city. The ultimate goal of us would be building a Christmas castle attraction park.”

With such an ambitious vision I cannot wait to see what else they have in store for seasons and years to come.
