Yuen Foot Massage and Spa has a new location in Richmond and we were here for the experience.
The setting is spacious and poised to be Richmond’s premier luxury spa. Unlike other such spas they have large enough rooms that allow for multiple services to be administered to multiple people at once. Couple rooms and rooms that serve four, great for bachelorette parties and other social gatherings. A few even have television screens, others have fireplaces to curate your desired vibe.
Roana and I would share a room and the relaxation together. We both decided to do a back massage. She, a hot stone massage with heated flat rocks being rubbed against her back and arms.
I went with a more traditional back massage with plenty of pressure, which I was allowed to dictate at any time. My masseuse was excellent at digging in with her elbows, side of her arm, and balls of her fingers. And she did well to locate and rub out a lot of the knots I have been carrying in my shoulders and upper back. First the back from shoulders down to feet. Then flipping over for a finishing head massage that included scalp and temples.
The hour went by quick and we were done before we knew it. We took our time dressing and helped ourselves to their tea bar to slowly reawaken from our relaxing treatment.
Worth mentioning is that there is complimentary parking unground within the complex’s general parking lot. You need only to register your vehicle and license plate with the front desk receptionist.
In closing, a very posh place to carve out some rest and relaxation time. A great health benefit as massages boosts blood flow, where toxins are expelled from the body while helping nutrients enter cells. It can relax muscle tissue, manage pain, prevent injuries, and create a better sense of well-being.
