Vegas Trip 2026: Play Playground

On our last day in Vegas we spent it within Luxor Hotel, prior to making our evening flight time.

After checkout, with carry-on luggage and backpacks we took the 30 minute trek from our Planet Hollywood Hotel room to the Egyptian themed property. The hotel is easy to spot with a Sphinx guarding the entry way that leads into an actual pyramid, which is the hotel.

We were here to literally “play” at Play Playground. I would best describe this as an adult playground with foam padding and drinks. Currently they only have two locations in Vegas and Nashville. However, show runners have plans in the near future to expand to Texas, San Diego, and even Dubai.

Like a club you have your ID checked and a waiver signed before being granted a pass on a collectable lanyard. This is what you scan in to play and it keeps track of your score.

In order to build up our energy and carefree natures we started with breakfast and drinks at the bar. There is a sectioned off area where all drinking must be done. The Playground is open for 15 year olds and above until 3pm, and then it is 21 and older after 7pm.

Tables are high tops, each equipped with acrylic Connect Four game boards in red versus blue. You can play as your drink, or in our case, as we waited for our food. On weekends they have brunch with foodstuffs for the entire family, and drink options for the adults like bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Drinks are available in variety of sizes: 12oz, 24oz, and 32oz cups. Or you can upgrade them into collectable souvenir cups. The 50oz level up is a Play Pal vinyl toy that you can drink out of its head. This was a little too rich for our blood so we went for the 20oz single person Disco Ball cup instead. It is shiny with sparkle and equipped with a branded cow boy hat for additional whimsy. You can have these filled with any cocktail of your choice.

Each, a sweet concoction with fruit juices and candy garnishes. We tried the Shark Bait with Luna Azul, Blue Curacao, Pineapple Juice, Sweet Lemon Sour, and Gummy Sharks.

I liked the Rubber Ducky Drop for its clever theme of foamy bath tub suds and yellow duck shaped hard candy. This was Casamigos, Fresh Lemon Juice, Agave Nectar, and Pineapple Lemon Foam. And the Perfect Popper Paloma came with juice filled boba pearls alongside Flecha Azul Tequila, Pamplemousse, Wildberry Syrup, Lime Juice, and Agave Syrup.

For brunch we both ordered their Chicken n’ Waffle Sandwich, which is a bare bones sandwich with Fried Egg and Fried Chicken in between two slices of Waffle. Without butter or syrup this made for dry bites. I did like the ingredients individually and would have liked a honey mustard for what was essentially breaded chicken tenders. The egg was nice with the packets of ketchup I asked for, which we also utilized with the side of tater tots. Served it a metal lunch box, this had the hallmarks of a nostalgic, childhood, comfort meal.

Then it was time to play. Play Playground boasts a vibrant atmosphere powered by 20 plus immersive and larger than life games. There are familiar recreations of classic board games like “Bopit”, where you remember patterns and perform them in sequence. “Perfection” has you plugging pieces into the wall via magnet, and when the timer runs out they fall to the ground. Less stressful than the orginal version that pops out to shock. “Operation” had you inserting and rearranging bones by colour, instead of removing organs by tweezers.

To get the heart racing you could run through a bouncy maze, dodge large swinging plush poker chips, go feet first down a twisty slide, and dawn a Velcro suit and hurl yourself towards a bullseye.

My favourite was the game show style jumping and dodging game in an inflatable arena. The goal was to last a minute as the turn-style twirled faster and faster, but I got winded just as quick.

Other games that required more concentration included one where you guide a ring through a neon-lit rainbow road, navigate a ball through an, enclosed maze, and throw plastic balls at coloured metal flowers.

Truthfully the more you drank the more care free you felt in the above. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to collect points and redeem them in for prizes. They don’t have to be large, as having the goal to work towards is half the fun.

In short, for a day of fun look to Play Playground located in Luxor, for the freedom to be a kid with the beverages fuelling you as an adult. They say Vegas is fun for all ages for a reason, and this one of those reasons.
