This week we had the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor, and explore we did. Travelling through 5 different boroughs from farm land to city centre. However, to truly appreciate this built at its fullest, I should have taken it off-roading as the Tremor is designed to handle unpaved paths and rougher weather while maintaining a comfortable on-road ride.
I loved the orange detail on the interior and exterior. This pop of colour showed up in a single spoke of all four rims. In the double stitching along the wheel, and as a single line on the seats that included “tremor” embroidered on each individual chair. When partnered with the orange ambient lighting, it was all a stand out, looking sharp and clean against the white paint job of this particular model.

The 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor may look intimidating to drive considering its size, especially as a seven seater. However, based on its handling and ease when taking turns, it felt more like a compact SUV, instead of one of the largest vehicles in Ford’s arsenal. I did feel its width, when I had to park in Vancouver underground lots, although this wasn’t as much of a chore due to the Explorer’s mobility and helpful surrounding perimeter alarms.
I was especially impressed by its fuel economy. Close to 500km in the tank and I was still left with 1/3 after a week of trips out to Richmond, Tsawwassen, and Langley.

The first two rows have individual seat with individual climate control and plenty of space for each individual in between. I found each seat comfortable with lots of cushion to support the thighs, and the ability to adjust and tilt it to alleviate any gathered tension on the hips.
The ergonomic wheel is thicker in places for larger palms to grip, but a little too meaty for my hands. I liked the elevated rubber lined tray, just below the emergency controls. I thought this a great position to place your keys, phones, and anything small that you need to remember to take with you.

The interior dash was a mix of plastic in a variety of textures for visual interest. Shades of grey and lined patterns for a sportier image.
I appreciated how easy it was to connect my smart phone to the simple to navigate touchscreen infotainment system. The deeper than most binning was helpful, allowing me to store everything I need on the day to day, I just could have used used a larger armrest as a place to rest.
