2026 Genesis GV80 Coupe Prestige Black

I was sad to have less time with this stunning Cadillac of a ride. The 2026 Genesis GV80 Coupe Prestige Black is a real luxury drive, but between my 4 days in Vegas and the long weekend in anticipation of rest thereafter, I didn’t get much quality time with her.

This is definitely one of those vehicles you want to be seen in. You felt the prestige in the all black exterior and interior. The latter includes black wood grain and black leathers with silver detailing, black Genesis winged badge, and LED piping set to purple for an extra indulgent feel.

Even the GV80’s double trademark crystal navigation dials were black. They spun easy with a glint of sparkle. The gear shift’s clear crystal with black background, really picked up the colour.

Everything is fully electric from the seat to the wheel adjustment. There are even buttons located on the side of the front passenger seat so, that you can easily move it forward or backwards, up or down from the comfort of the driver’s seat.

In the front there are only two C-port charging outlets, with a wireless phone charging pad. However, for the back row there is also a regular outlet port for the additional convenience of a small appliance. I also found this row fairly spacious, even with one body on the centre hump.

As for the visuals everything is discrete between the touch screen navigation and dashboard. You have the speed limit and going speed projected onto the windshield. There are multiple Bang and Olufsen speakers surrounding the front row for studio and stadium quality sound.

As for handling, I found the wheel thick and the grip harder to get my smaller hands around. The ride was smooth and sturdy, with no extra work needed on the driver’s part. A wonderful vehicle to drive and be driven in.

The Genesis felt intuitive, like you had a built-in driver concierge passing on messages in the form of alerts sprawled across the dash before you start and after you parked.

The seat pushes back, giving you ample room to climb in and out of from the driver’s seat. Then automatically pulls you closer to the wheel, at your pre-determined settings. 30 minutes after you leave the car the air conditioner turns out for auto drying. If left idling, the car notifies you that it will turn off automatically after 60 minutes. It even reminds you to check your back seats, as to not leave anything behind. I found all the notice and actions very considerate.
