Today we were at Kinton’s Robson location to check out their second year anniversary offerings ahead of the day.
They will be celebrating two years at their Robson space, by bringing back their widely popular $9.99 bowls of ramen deal.
This will only be offered for one day, only on Saturday, April 11th. This applies to all their signature ramens. This is easily identified as a page of pork, chicken, beef, or vegetable ramen in either original, shoyu, miso, spicy garlic, and spicy jalapeño. I appreciate now each type is easily identifiable by the colour of their bowl.
The variety allows customers to choose their flavour and its level, from lightly salted to heavily seasoned. Prices vary from $15.99-17.99.
With how much you save, you can funnel it back into your meal as ingredient add-ons to further customize you bowl. The options included Seasoned Egg, Sweet Corn, Wood Ear Mushrooms, Nori, Bamboo Shoots, Bean Sprouts, Jalapeño Paste, Grated Garlic, Garlic Oil, Scallions, and Seaweed.

I got the bowl of Pork Spicy Garlic with chilli pepper, pork, grated garlic, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and scallions. And to it I added on a whole seasoned egg sliced in half, sweet corn kernels, the Nori that came with three sheets, and bean sprouts that got mixed into my choice of thick noodles.

My guest got the New Beef Spicy Jalapeño with jalapeño paste, beef, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and scallions with thin noodles. She too added on the corn. We both found our bowls tasty and satisfying, finishing it all in one sitting.

Not part of the anniversary special, but they also have new drink options either a fairly sweet Hot Yuzu Honey Tea with a hint of lemon or a Sparkling Yuzu Lemonade that is fizzy and citrusy, with a minty zest.

We also ordered a side of their Original Karaage to share. I like the additional protein to have with my noodles, after I long finished my two slices of fatty pork. The other ingredients added great textural interest, but the fried and breaded chicken completed the bite. I especially liked how hefty each ball of meat was.
In short, Kinton is a great spot for noodles, and now they are giving you even more reason to visit them with this amazing promotion.
