There is a new spot for unique and limited edition snacks. And if you follow me on Instagram, you know I love all that is weird, wacky, and different. So this one is right up my alley.
I have done well to source many such snacks from stores around town, but now I can look to Smoke 2 Snack as a one stop shop. Here they have cookies, chocolates, candies, and chips organized by theme and country of origin.
There are Lays chips from Thailand with flavours like tom yum, boat noodles, and a 2 in 1 pack with charcoal grilled chicken and somtom flavoured chips in one bag.
There are golden fried chicken flavoured Pringles and pink Oreos with black cream and black Oreos with pink cream to represent popular Korean girl group Black Pink. Same original flavour, but more visually fun.
I tried a bag of Cheetos that was hamburger flavoured with a “rock-paper-scissor” theme and puffs shaped like the above. I can go on and on, but it is best to visit me on Instagram at @magmei and watch the reel highlighting my top favourite finds.
This new location on West Broadway is their flagship store and will be opening May 23, 2023. For those who visit on the day, you get a chance to get 20% off your purchase, and take advantage of their giveaways.
The concept of the shop is that after you smoke, you get the munchies so they are here to help and preempt the need to seek out the ideal snack. As taken from the press release, “Smoke 2 Snack is Vancouver’s premium adults-only destination for rare treats, cool eats, and smoke accessories. With a large handpicked selection of hard-to-find local and international specialty snacks, you’ll never be stuck cruising boring grocery-store aisles again.”
Smoke 2 Snack Cambie is located on the south side of Broadway between Cambie and Ash, directly across Broadway from Henry’s camera store, and a few stores down from Elysian coffee.
NOTE: Parking is a challenge due to Broadway construction. There is street parking, and a parkade on Ash north of Broadway. Street parking or the parkade for Whole Foods/London Drugs on 8th is probably the most convenient. You can exit onto Broadway by foot from London Drugs.
