We’ve only gotten glimmers of summer with sunshine being sparse, and rain being the dominant mood. However all the markers of summer are in the city, like Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Treat-Cycle returning last Friday, June 28th.
Stationary street-side at the corner of Burrard and Alberni from 12-4pm every Friday throughout summer. With exceptions be Canada Day long weekend, where the cart is available June 28, 29, and July 1, as well as Pride long weekend from August 2nd to the 4th.
Painted in teal, it is hard to miss. And every week it will be featuring a new flavour. This started with a Maple Raisin Butter Tart in celebration of Canada Day.
And as a special offer, all customers who enrol in their ALL – Accor’s Lifestyle Loyalty Program, will receive their ice cream complimentary. You just sign up on the spot and enjoy a scoop on them. There is however a limited for one ice cream cup per customer, while supplies last.
Already pre-packaged in single scoops, kept cool in the body of the cart. The packaging showcases the hotel chain’s logo in the cart’s matching teal.
The Maple Raisin Butter Tart is a vanilla ice cream base with plenty of sweet cold raisins and a buttery cookie crumble. Delicious, it was easy to finish and gone before I knew it.
