Studio Night Club with Proliv

Tonight, we were determined to have a wild club night. We were celebrating Sylvia’s (my No.1 Party Friend’s) birthday, so the occasion called for a bottle of Ciroc at the club. After loading up on a heavier Italian dinner, we made our way to Studio on Granville Street.

Considering we originally reserved 2 bottles for 4 we decided to wrap up dinner and head straight to our table in order to be able to fully enjoy and finish it all.

Checking in at the door we had our ID’s scanned, our wrists stamped for re-entry, and our names crossed off the guest list in confirmation.

We were given our pick of available tables so chose what we thought was the best. One on the second floor mezzanine that overlooked the dance floor at its apex. That way we could sit and simmer, waiting for the floor to fill and the night to go from demur to rowdy with enough shots slung back.

The night club is decorated in sensual art pieces, kept playful with tongue-in-cheek neon-lit quotes, and given the party atmosphere through strobing coloured lights. There were a few great photo op moments we were sure to take advantage of.

If you order a bottle, club girls bring it to you in a parade. One at the front and one at the back of the procession, hoisting and pumping light bars into the air; all to the beat of the base being played. They flank another club girl holding your chosen bottle, put in a special light up display. This too is thrusted into the air, in unison with the other’s. A spectacle made to show off the bottle and your purchase of it. In truth, there was something about this act that got me more excited to drink.

We were given a choice of all the fruit flavours of Ciroc and decided on mango, figuring it would be the easiest to mix with our chosen selection of pops and juices: sprite, pineapple juice, and gingerale. All the above to have as chase with shots or to mix with the liquor to create cocktails. It was self-serve to a point, with the bar girls watching over us. They helped to pour out the bottle into rows of easy to take shots, and busked the table after we emptied glasses and gathered up wads of tissue. They essentially kept the place looking clean, as we got sloppy; and ensured we kept drinking in order to sell more liquor as a follow up.

As soon as the hour hit midnight and it was the official day of Sylvia’s birthday, we arranged to have our bar girls return with their lights to ring in her aging. This time instead of a bottle backdrop, one of them was lifting a sign that read “HBD Sylvia” over her head. This was the perfect way to rile us up, and get us taking more shots and more photos before descending to the first floor to mingle with the crowd.

We would dance on the main floor and eventually found ourselves on stage, dancing in front of the DJ booth. All in a line, facing the rest of the night club before us. A wonderful way to round out the night. From there we went to our separate after parties. On to have more alcoholic beverages, or to recuperate from the night, I went for pizza as my night cap.

Signs of an epic party night includes someone throwing up, someone waking up with unaccounted for bruises, and the general group exchanging stories and filling in the blanks for one another the morning after.

In total we finished 2 bottles of sparkling and a 750ml bottle of premium vodka, and no one woke up with a hangover. We each took Proliv, a blister pack of pills that promises a fun night of carefree drinking and none of the symptoms of regretting it the morning after.

I was recommended these by a friend who thought I could use the cure-all, considering my reputation and ability to drink excessively. So, I was eager to put them to the test, and today seemed like the perfect event to do just that. Proliv was definitely run through its paces on this night, and it came out on top.

The following are snippets on this revolutionary pill, created by drink enthusiasts who wanted to continue with their habits, but found their lifestyle catching up with themselves through the natural aging cycle. So, Proliv was created as an aid for themselves, and they have seen enough success with it, that they now want to offer it publicly to help others in the same position.

“Maverick Nutrition is a Canadian natural supplements brand, headquartered in Richmond, BC. Their mission is to ensure that our customers are living their most optimal lives, from going out to sleeping well, by providing nutritional solutions to support versatile lifestyles. At this time, they have only launched their first flagship product, which is their fast-acting liver supplement, Proliv.”

“Proliv strives to provide a complete relief solution that combats a wide range of after- alcohol symptoms, going beyond hydration.”

In steps Proliv, who is focused on providing results, and fast!

“Other products tend to market ingredients with long-term effects such as milk thistle. This ingredient is only research-proven as an aid to support liver function after longer periods of use. As such, it’s not as effective the night of when you need it the most.”

“Proliv comes in two types of easy-to-transport sleeves, making it effortless to carry and share with friends. They offer single dose sleeve (2 pills) and five- dose sleeves (10 pills), the size of a gum pack. Other hangover products come in bottles making it difficult to carry, or powders, making it difficult to activate when you’re on the go.”

“You take 1 dose (2 pills) before your first drink, ideally 30 minutes before. You want the ingredients working for you before your body starts breaking down alcohol. You may take more Proliv throughout the night as needed.”

Having tried it myself a handful of times now, I can relay to you that it does help with eliminating hangovers for myself, and those who I have given pills to try.
