All you can eat with stipulations~
Myst, already well known for their incredibly extensive Asian fusion menu, is now giving you to chance to try most of it as part of their new all you can eat add on.

However, it is not as easy as it sounds. There are a few hurdles that you have to clear in order to activate this privilege, and honestly you might not be hungry after all of it.

First, you have to spend at least $20 to qualify. Each person wanting to participate in the all you can eat option has to purchase, at minimum, $20 of regular food, from the regular menu. In most cases, this is a full size entrée. In my case I had the beef noodle soup, a classic and what I usually go for when I visit. But then you actually have to finish all of the entrée before you are eligible to qualify for the all you can eat. There is no doggy bagging, even though you paid full price for this, separately, maybe even before opting into the all you can eat option.

If you are still hungry, you then have to purchase all you can eat privileges. They have three different tiers at three different price points, each a different menu with no overlap. There might be similar dishes, but each seasoned or topped differently. The $9.99 menu incudes 8 dishes you can order. Each a smaller portion. Choices include their popular Taiwanese Salty Peppery Chicken Nuggets and a few noodle options.

The $14.99 menu includes everything from the first menu and to it adds nine additional options. I was excited for these dishes here. Sweet & Sour Pork, Hakka Style Basil Eggplant, Deep-Fried Stinky Tofu, and Vegetarian Sticky Rice; to name a few.

The $19.99 per person menu includes all items from both the $9.99 and $14.99 categories and adds on fuller dishes like Black Pepper Diced Beef, Shredded Pork & Pickled Mustard Soup Noodles, and Panko-Crusted Fried Scallop. Considering you are already pretty full having to finish your entrée, you don’t really need the additional five options for five dollars more on the $19.99 menu here.

Having tried every one of the items available, across all three all you can eat tiers, I can honestly say I did not want more than one of each dish. And some I could have done without, like three different types of kimchi and the onion salad that was just a bowl of marinated, thinly sliced onion, in a thin vinaigrette.

This might be worth it if you’re looking for an additional side or two to your main item, then $10 or $15 seems like the correct corresponding price to pay. It becomes worth your while if you are looking to add on 5 to 6 more small plates. But once again, you might be full, depending on what you ordered from the regular menu and might not like the choices.

In truth, I would rather order from their regular menu and get exactly what I want. Although I did like the kelp knots, sweet-and-sour, pork, vegetarian sticky, rice, and Hakka style eggplant. However, I don’t think I would order them regularly off the menu. Therefore, I guess that means I don’t like them enough to want to pay full price for a full serving. But as an ad on, and “sure why not”, because I’m already opting in for all you can eat seems like a good deal.

For those who do want you try this for yourself, you only have 90 minutes dine-in time to do so, with your last call being 20 minutes before that time elapses. This service is only available Monday to Thursday from 11:30am to 9pm and Fridays from 11:30am to 5pm.
