We were coming out of an event that only served cocktails, so after three and a shot with no food to pair, we were looking for something to fill our bellies with. And seeing as the time was right and we were downtown we decided to go for happy hour for some cheaper eats.
One of our party of three doesn’t come downtown as often as the rest of us, so we decided to pick a place where she has never been before. That took us to Boulevard for their happy hour, a spot to satisfy her oyster craving, and one that the rest of us vouched for.

As we settled, we ordered a couple glasses of wine at happy hour pricing, in planning to pair with our oysters. We got a dozen so that each of us could have four. They were of the smaller and sweeter variety at $2 per.

We also ordered their Lemongrass Chicken Wings for something heartier to wrap our teeth around. These were delicious and lick your fingers tasty, seasoned in thai chilli and caramel fish sauce. I could have eaten an entire order myself.

And as a great tipsy eat, we also had the Truffle Fries dressed in truffle salsa, grana padano, and chives. These were chewy soft potato sticks with a slight crisp. Plainer even with the toppings, and in need of a dunk in either the ketchup and a truffle aioli it is served with.
We weren’t expecting it, but dessert came to our table complimentarily. My friend is familiar with the kitchen, so they sent some desserts our way as a treat for her, and she was kind enough to share. The restaurant is well known and beloved for their dessert program, and this was a good showcase of it in four, one bite morsels. The selection included an earl grey madeleine, a chocolate and match cube, and a strawberry cream number.
In short, a quick stop for good food, at slightly more affordable prices during happy hour from 3-5pm.
