The year’s busiest shopping season is upon us once more, and BC’s largest shopping centre, Metropolis at Metrotown is inviting visitors to celebrate it coastal style.
Activations include a brand-new outdoor market, live performances, and the magical return of their Santa Experience. The latter of which has expanded this year with a Pacific Northwest twist.
Not only can you take photos with traditional Santa in his fur lined red suit, but now also take a modern approach to your family photos with a Westcoast Santa dawning a plaid shirt and suspenders. Together, you will be seated amongst Canadiana such as traditional snowshoes, faux furs, and plush versions of native wildlife like the Canadian goose, black bear, and snowy owl.
Photos with Santa are available from Wednesday, November 12th to Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025. Online reservations are recommended, but walk-ins welcome, just expect a wait. Proceeds benefit Burnaby Christmas Bureau and Family Services of Greater Vancouver.

Christmas Eve
New for the season is the Holiday Hive Market, in partnership with Artisan Farmers Market. Where the mall will be hosting additional vendors, outside of their permanent residents. This will be held at the South Plaza by Dolphin Pond. Expect local artisans showcasing their festive creations, perfect for the gifting season. The market with be popping up on Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th, 2025 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
